Dr. Bowne had taken good care of my teeth for 30+ years. He is a good dentist. Recently, when we were having a chat he blew up at me for being a democrat. He sounded like he knew nothing about Democrats and was quoting FoxNews lies. He lost his temper and I left to find another dentist. I can no longer recommend Dr. Bowne.

I went to Dr. Bowne as a new patient for a checkup and he told me I needed all of my fillings replaced. He told me he could replace the fillings with "white filling material" and that it would be covered by my dental insurance. He then proceeded to drill down two of my molars (never having taken any xrays mind you) to fit me for porcelain onlays. I had no idea he was performing onlays, which is a cosmetic procedure that is not usually covered by insurance. During the process he cracked both molars and I needed to get root canals to save the teeth. Then I got a bill from him for $2,600. His office"waived" the bill but I was stuck with a $2400 bill for root canals for teeth that had previously been perfectly healthy. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this dentist. He took so much of my natural tooth structure away and I have had problems with those teeth ever since. His shoddy work has impacted my quality of life. It was obvious that he was after a quick buck (he planned to "fill" all 8 molars) and was taking advantage of a patient.
