I went to see Dr. Urbankova as I had two 15 year old upper front tooth veneers that needed to be replaced because of a gum recession that created a gap between my veneers and my gums. I was certain that I didn’t want a veneer replacement. Dr. Urbankova did a restoration of both front tooth and spent close to 3 hours working on getting a perfect job done.
Not only is Dr. Urbankova a pioneer of this kind work, but she is truly one of a kind, who is passionate about her work, puts her heart and soul into everything she does, and stands by her work.
If you are daunted by the cost of her services, consider that she spends 2-3 hours on average getting your tooth back to the best condition naturally, and literally glows when her patients love the finished product. I have not had that experience with my visits to a regular dentist or orthodontist!

A great dentist that you won't find elsewhere. Just take a look at her instagram for the work she does. I needed to see if a willing dentist that repeatedly handles difficult cases exists. I avoided a few root canals coming here with difficult angles due to the cavity advancing on the gumline. But since I had little to no pain, I figured it was worth trying to save despite other dentists telling me I needed root canals. I couldn't risk 4 root canals on a single consecutive row of my teeth. The risk for eventual abscesses was too much and I already know dental health is connected to heart health. She will always try to accommodate and explain the situation to you since she prioritizes preserving the tooth over going straight to a root canal. And her work with onlays and pulp capping is top notch.

As an FYI most dentists don't do pulp cappings since you need to do prep using a dental dam and know when to stop excavating the cavity or risk exposing the pulp followed by a potential core buildup to fit an onlay/resin filling. That's a pretty significant layer of defense made to stand the test of time. My teeth were significantly decayed so no dentist wanted to deal with all this other than a root canal. Then comes the curing parts (that blue wand light) which most dentist rush through as well. When they are not properly cured, the resin on the interior is soft like mine were. This boils down to experience, dedication and instinct. Before I went through with it, I asked a bunch of questions. A medicament ( calcium hydroxide) was placed in the deepest aspect of the cavity excavation to give the tooth the opportunity for the decayed dentin (final layer before the pulp is reached) to regenerate. Then the core buildup and she placed a filling on one and onlays on the other 2. Of course I googled "Outcome of Indirect Pulp Capping Using Calcium Hydroxide" to find a study on the success rates of this procedure and they were very high.

Compared to the slab for a crown I got at another dentist, her work looks like my real teeth do. My previous crown done at another place wasn't even sealed correctly and there is a gap. Basically here you won't find someone who does a bad rush jobs and moves on to the next client. She will take the time to make sure you have the best shot at saving those teeth. Honestly the entire dental field should be based around the practices she uses. At this point I am done with sugar (including going hard on the carbs) because of the damage I have inflicted on myself but I am grateful those teeth got a second chance. You only get one set after the last baby tooth falls out at 10-11 years old so I am valuing them a lot more now.

The final thing left is maintenance for my gum health using a laser because my gums have been slowly receding for years and show no signs of stopping. Among dentists not all lasers are created equal and you also need experience in tweaking the laser settings with the technique to do a good job cleaning. She has amassed enough experience to know how to penetrate the gum pockets and eliminate the bacteria that keeps eating away at the gum tissue. So if you have that same problem, this is the place to get the best treatment and advice. I've gone through years of dentists telling me I smoke, do drugs or brush too hard (I don't do any of these) so it was nice for someone to know what was going on with a glance without me having to tell them.

Just remember if you are like me (procedures involving deep cavities) to avoid chewing hard foods and take it easy with warm salt rinses. I ended up consuming soft broths with steamed diced veggies and mashed potatoes for 4 weeks after the procedures since I didn't want to ruin all her work. My cavities were near the pulp so you have to see your teeth as you would look at a bone fracture. No one with that type of injury would try running and you have to give it time to heal. Same goes for your teeth.

Dr Urbankova is unlike any dentist I have ever met in my life. Not only is she conscientious, creative, empathetic and precise--but she channels all her talents to preserve one's teeth even in the most difficult circumstances. I've been to her office several times this year and have since brought my family to see her as well. During each visit, she educates us about our dental health, outstanding issues, and treatment options. I appreciate her conservationist approach for treatment as she considers many alternatives in order to avoid drillings and extractions whenever possible. She takes the extra efforts to use ample guards and the latest technologies to ensure she is working to prioritize precision and the safety of her patients. Moreover, the office is lovely, welcoming staff, and the classical music she has on in the background really helps put me at ease. Overall, her profound expertise in the field and her compassionate personality are hard to find.

My wife had been going to Dr. Urbankova for work on root canals that were poorly performed by other dentists and some other issues. Seeing how Dr. Urbankova was able to save my wife's teeth, I decided to see her as well when I developed a toothache. My troubles turned out to be much more severe than a simple toothache as was revealed by X-rays. We discussed my options and Dr. Urbankova was very straightforward with the possibility that the procedure she suggested was not a guaranteed success. I elected to proceed and now, about a year later, my gums and teeth are much healthier.
My experience with Dr. Urbankova has been a very good one. She took the time to perform my procedure properly. She really does care and try to preserve your original natural teeth.

I so very much appreciate the care and expertise of Dr.Urbanakova. She has truly gone above and beyond with her care of my teeth ,mouth and health. She is always direct and honest about the situation with my teeth and clearly stated the options for treatment. Because she is willing to try to save the teeth I have avoided a mouth full of implants.I would say there have been several miracles but it is truly her expertise and care.
The office is so calm and professional and I have also been treated by her partner Dr. Engebretson and was very pleased with the outcome of that procedure.
If I could give more than the stars above I would!

Truly the best dentist atmosphere i could ask for. They give you a nice hot cozy pillow, lovely music and education. My mouth has never felt so clean after using the laser they have in office. Not only is it not invasive but I am in a much better state then where I began over 14yrs ago. I am truly blessed and think of them as family being proactive and keeping me healthy without surgeries. One of a kind, you can't find anywhere else!

Doctor Alice uses latest technology to keep the teeth healthy, alive and looking great.
My dentist recommended root canal on my molar, she saved the tooth and made it look like mother nature intended.

She is so knowledgeable and caring. I was used to the usual "sit, open, turn, close, rinse, done". Not here.
She takes the time to talk the patient through the procedure, along with photos of the tooth currently being worked on.

The office itself is state of the art. The staff is very professional and at the same time so friendly and helpful, I feel like visiting friends.

Text reminders are sent to make sure patients are kept aware of the appointment date and time.
There is no double booking of patients and subsequently no waiting time.
This is the first dental office where I was in the chair exactly at the time booked.

I would highly recommend Dr. Alice to everyone who wishes to preserve their teeth.

After years of feeling uninformed about my oral health, Dr. Urbankova has shown me a different side of dentistry. I can finally breathe a sigh of relief knowing that I have a knowledgable, straightforward DDS whose goal is to extend the life of her patients' teeth, rather than offer the standard remedies that would have left my mouth full of fillings. I'm a fairly new patient, but my sister has been a long-time client. I would typically be skeptical of a doctor offering an approach to medicine so far outside of the norm, but the success experienced by my family gave me the confidence to trust her. And I am quite glad that I have.
It's still early in my dental health recovery journey, but I now feel that I am in the best hands possible at Preserve Your Teeth. Dr. Urbankova's passion for her work and those that she cares for comes through with stunning clarity. She took an immense amount of time to help me understand the true foundations of oral health so that I can change my habits with an understanding of what causes tooth decay and how to not only prevent it, but reverse it.
I have never felt so good about another dentist. And while I still have a long way to go before my teeth have recovered from years of mistreatment, I can already feel the positive results of her work.
